The Two Mile Bay Sailing Club, established in 1989, is a unique and exciting venue situated over the water on Lake Taupō, in the central North Island of New Zealand. It offers unrivalled views of the lake, great kiwi hospitality, and watersports and recreational activities for all to enjoy.
The Two Mile Bay Sailing Club is famous for its pizzas, best served with a Peroni fresh from the tap. We offer a wide range of food and beverages, including breakfast and lunch options, as well as ethically sourced Havana coffee.
We are big supporters of our local music scene, with live music every Thursday, Friday, and Sunday night, and regular showcases by national and international artists. Our events calendar is full of varied events, from comedy nights to fishing competitions, our annual ladies' night, and famous New Years' Eve party. We are the proud sponsors of the Two Mile Bay Sailing Club Taupō Half Marathon held in August each year.
In summer, we also offer a range of watersports equipment for hire, including paddle boards ($50 per hour), kayaks ($30 per hour), and small Concept 16" yachts ($75 an hour). The water is beautiful and clear to swim in, and each summer our inflatable raft draws in the kids ($10 per child, including life jacket hire), while parents can watch from a safe distance with a drink in hand.
